The Society of Light and Lighting, in association with Arup, is delighted to invite you to a private viewing of the new Artificial Intelligence - Enabling Machines to Learn exhibition.
The exhibition aims to raise awareness of what artificial intelligence with machine learning is today, looking at its challenges and promises for tomorrow and what it means for the individual, industry and society at large.

This event will be chaired by Florence Lam, Arup Fellow, Director and Head of Global Lighting Design at Arup.
Talks will include:
Will AI Redesign the Lighting Designer by Giulio Antonutto, Associate Director, Arup
Designing the Perfect Luminaire of the Future by Francesco Anselmo, Associate, Arup
Following this, there will be three provocateurs to present their personal viewpoints to kick off discussions looking at the future of the lighting industry in relation to AI. These will include the following:
- Dr Jemima Unwin, Program leader for the MSc in Light and Lighting at UCL on Research
- Iain Macrae, Past President of the Society of Light and Lighting on Manufacturing
- Inessa Demidova, Lighting Designer at Arup on Design
Melissa Mak, Senior Lighting Designer at Arup, and her exhibition design team will also be on hand to explain the making of the exhibition before and after the talks.
Registration for this event will be from 18:00 - 18:25. Talk will begin from 18:30 - 19:45.
There will be a reception from 19:45 - 21:00.
