Museum Lighting is at a crossroad: LED technology has created new opportunities and poses new challenges for colour and vision science, conservation and visitor engagement. In order to discuss recent academic and in research, address challenges and opportunities and provide a dialogue forum for the academic community and the industry, the Centre for Doctoral Training in Science and Engineering in Arts Heritage and Archaeology (SEAHA) and the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) are organising the 1st International Museum Lighting Conference in London.

The 1st Museum Lighting Conference aims to be a dialogue platform between academics, lighting a museum professionals on the current research on the field of Museum Lighting. It is a joint effort from the Centre for Doctoral Training in Science and Engineering in Arts, Heritage and Archaeology and the Society of Light and Lighting along with UCL, Oxford and Brighton universities, the National Gallery, the Museums Association and the Colour Group UK.
